Showroom appointment

Your journey starts with a visit to our showroom where you can get inspired by the over 200 products we have in display and discuss your requirements with the showroom team. During this visit you can book the home survey which is a free service we provide to our customers.

Home Survey

Our surveyor will be visiting your home to take measurements and asses the technical requirements for the installation.

Quotation

We have a lead time of 5 working days, depending on the season, for supplying you with a quotation for the products chosen and the works.

Place Order

If you are happy with the quotation, the services and our T&Cs and would like to proceed with an order, a 50% payment is required to proceed with an order. The payment can be made in store, over the phone using a debit/credit card or by sending a cheque addressed to Severn Fireplaces.

Installation

Our lead time from order to installation is an average of 6 to 8 weeks. This lead time is based on product availability (most fires and fireplaces are manufactured to order) but also the installation schedule for our installers team.

All our installers are fully trained and qualified and carry certifications depending on their role (Hetas, Gas Safe etc) and public liability insurance. Please note that we can only install products that we supply, we can not quote and carry out installations for products purchased online or from other retailers.

Once installation is complete, the remaining balance is due and this again can be paid in store, by card or by cheque.

After the full payment we will request on your behalf the Hetas or Gas Safe certificate if your fire is a wood burning or a gas fire. Please keep this certificate safe as some home insurance companies would require a copy of it for their records and could influence any future claims.

Product Registration

Once installed you will need to register your product with the manufacturer for warranty. The warranty details vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and you will find details of your warranty with the product manual or on the manufacturer website.

Servicing & After Care

All gas and wood burning fires will require a yearly service. Please call our office for a quotation if you would like one of our engineers to carry out these works for you.

Supply Only

In instances where you have your own installer available and would like to make use of our supply only service we are happy to work with you and your installer in choosing the right fire for your home.

The lead time for supply only will be less than above and will be discussed at the time of purchase, depending on manufacturer lead time.

Supply only products will still need to be registered as mentioned above. You will still benefit from the same product warranty for your product as long as the purchase was done from an authorised retailer and installation is certified by your installer.
